Live Convention FAQ

Will the sessions be recorded?

Yes, the opening session and keynote, “ADAPT: Overcoming Adversity” session, and all education tracks will be recorded and made available online to registered attendees shortly after the convention ends.

Can I register for the recordings after the convention?

Only those individuals previously registered for the live or virtual convention will have access to the session recordings.

Where do I stay in Milwaukee?

The WRA has reserved room blocks at the Hyatt and the Hilton, both adjacent to the convention venue, the Wisconsin Center. The Hilton and the Wisconsin Center are conveniently accessible via a skywalk.

Where do I park?

Both hotels have valet and self-parking options. Confirm with your hotel for specific parking rates. The parking lot at the Wisconsin Center during the annual convention will be CLOSED for construction.

What are my parking options if I don’t have a hotel reservation?

The Wisconsin Center parking lot will be CLOSED for construction during the annual convention. Visit the Park Milwaukee website for a list of parking facilities near the convention center. 

What are the registration desk hours at the convention?

The registration desk at the convention will be open during the following times:
•    Tuesday, October 5, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
•    Wednesday, October 6, 8:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.

What are my food options during the convention?

There will be a variety of food options for purchase during the lunch hour in the convention center. A concession stand will also be operational during the day. Refreshments will be available periodically in the exhibit hall.

How far in advance do I need to purchase a meal for a ticketed event, such as the CRS lunch?

You can purchase a ticketed meal event up until the day of the ticketed event.

I want to register for a ticketed event, such as the CRS lunch or recognition breakfast, but I have dietary restrictions. What are my options?

The CRS lunch and recognition breakfast have vegetarian dishes available. Please contact Carter at the WRA at Carter@wra.org if you require further assistance with dietary modifications.

Can I attend the bikes, brats & beer tour even if I have dietary restrictions?

The tour company, Milwaukee Food & City Tours, can accommodate dietary restrictions. Please contact Carter at the WRA at Carter@wra.org if you are registered for the bikes, brats & beer tour and require a modified tasting menu.

What are the safety precautions at the live convention?

The live convention is taking place at the Wisconsin Center, which has implemented specific safety precautions based on state and local safety guidelines.

Where can I find a map of the convention center?

Floor maps of the Wisconsin Center as well as the hotels will be available in the convention app. Search the app store for “WRA Events” and download the 2021 convention event. The convention app will be made available two weeks prior to the convention.

Virtual Convention FAQ

I am unable to attend the live convention. What is included in the virtual convention?

While we would like to see you in Milwaukee, we understand if you are unable to attend. You can still enjoy the livestreamed opening session and keynote, “ADAPT: Overcoming Adversity” session, and one education track each hour. The remaining education tracks will be recorded and available for convention registrants to watch online after the convention. Live attendees will receive access to the virtual platform after the convention when the video recordings are available.

Can I register for the recordings after the convention?

Only those individuals previously registered for the live or virtual convention will have access to the session recordings.

I am registering for the virtual convention. Can I still register for the events on October 4?

Yes, you can register for the golf outing, and the bikes, beer & brats tour.

Will session handouts be provided?

Yes. PowerPoint slides, handouts or other presentation materials will be available to download from the virtual convention site.

Will I be able to ask questions of the convention speakers?

Yes, the convention website includes a chat feature in which you can ask questions. Session moderators will present the attendee questions to the speaker.

How do I access the virtual convention?

All convention registrants will receive an email in October with complete instructions. A few days before the convention, you will receive information on how to access the virtual convention website. The virtual convention website will be open several days prior to the convention so you can become familiar with the website before the convention begins.

WRA General Event Policies

Photographs and Videos

The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA) reserves the right to photograph and videotape (including images, photographs, voice or likeness) the event and Participants and to use such photographs and videos in any internal and external communication referring to the WRA to, such as on its websites and intranet, other publications, for promotion or any other purpose by the WRA and its affiliates and representatives without compensation and any right to royalties. By registering you consent to such uses.

Video and Photo Usage

The WRA reserves the right to restrict audio and video recording at WRA meetings and events based on a speaker or performer’s contractual agreement with the WRA. Participants agree to adhere to any restrictions relating to the recording of conference events, such as special booth appearances or educational sessions. Failure to comply with such restrictions may result in a Participant’s removal from the venue, without a right of readmission, reimbursement or other compensation.

Personal Information

The personal information supplied in connection with this event will be held by the WRA as a record of Participants and parties expressing interest. By registering, the Participants concerned are agreeing that the WRA, its partners and affiliates may use that personal information to contact them by email, direct mail, telephone or fax, in order to supply information relevant to this event, about another event, conference, other opportunities associated with the WRA, or other products and services which may be of interest. By registering Participants consent to such uses. If Participants do not want details to be used in this way, please contact the WRA by letter or email to confirm this.


The WRA reserves the right at all times to change, amend, add or remove any of the above terms without prior notice if one or more of the conditions outlined in these Terms & Conditions should be or become invalid, the remaining conditions will continue to be valid and apply.

Conduct

The WRA strives to provide an event experience that is positive and rewarding for everyone. Participants by attending this event agree that all participants (including without limitation members, guests, speakers, instructors, exhibitors and vendors) are expected to conduct themselves professionally and with good judgment and common sense. That means at all times being respectful of others and of the venues in which events are held, including while in transit to and from such venues.

The WRA aims to provide a safe event experience for all Participants and does not tolerate inappropriate behavior or harassment in any form. Inappropriate behavior includes harassing or defamatory verbal or written comments, displays of illicit images or use of illicit language, threats, intimidation and unwanted physical contact.

If, at any time, you feel threatened or harassed, you are encouraged to report the incident directly to police via 911.

You may also contact educate@wra.org. Please include the date, time, location and a description of the incident being reported.

Participants who violate this event conduct may be asked to leave the event without a refund. In addition, the Participants may not be permitted to participate in future WRA events at the discretion of the association management.

COVID-19 Assumption of Risk

Participants agree to attend the event at their own risk and agree as long as the COVID-19 pandemic persists while attending the event:

Take reasonable precautions, to protect one another against exposure to COVID-19 by complying with applicable federal, state and local orders and directives, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) safety guidelines at www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov, including proper handwashing hygiene and not attending the event if they are not feeling well or have a fever.

Immediately provide written notice to the WRA, if you are diagnosed with COVID-19 or come in contact with a person diagnosed with a confirmed case of COVID-19 or subject to COVID-19 self-quarantine or self-isolation as directed by a health care provider or the local health department, if indicated in applying the self-quarantine, self-isolation and self-monitoring guidance of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services at www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/covid-19... or as indicated by state law, order or other governmental directive within the last 14 days of the event.

Participant agrees the WRA is not responsible for the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic including Participant’s attendance relating to the event.

Unauthorized Solicitation and Distribution of Materials

Solicitation of business on the premises of the exhibit hall and supplemental areas other than official WRA conference exhibitors is strictly prohibited. Solicitation of business in sessions and meetings is entirely prohibited.

Distribution of fliers, pamphlets, notices and brochures in any session of the WRA conference, without the prior written consent of the WRA, is expressly prohibited.

Speaker/Exhibitor Endorsements

The ideas and opinions offered at educational programs presented during this conference are solely those of the speakers and do not necessarily reflect the position, policy or opinion of the WRA. The ideas and opinions presented in these education sessions and the products and services displayed by exhibitors at the trade expo associated with the conference should not be construed as a recommendation or endorsement of the ideas, opinions, products or services by the WRA. In issues affecting legal, financial or accounting matters, members should also consult trained professionals to address their individual situations.

Allergens and Food Safety

Allergens may be present in food served at WRA events. It is the responsibility of each Participant to contact the catering staff or show management about specific food allergies.

Accommodating Disabilities

Companions or personal assistants may accompany deaf/blind Participants to education sessions, and special events at no cost as a reasonable accommodation.

Convention Cancellation Policy

The WRA reserves the right to cancel courses if not filled. Prior to October 4, 2021, cancellation of a convention registration will result in the forfeiture of a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations must be in writing. Registration may not be transferred to another person at any time.
